50% of the population will be affected by haemorrhoids, fissures and anal discomforts at some point in their lives and 52% of those sufferers are men.  Haemorrhoids (piles) are enlarged veins that develop in the anal canal.  Tissue surrounding the inside of the rectum can sometimes fill with blood to help control bowel movements, the haemorrhoids develop when excessive pressure or other factors cause the veins within these cushions to swell and strech, and sometimes burst.

Internal haemorrhoids lie far inside the rectum, bleeding may be the only sign that they are there.  External haemorrhoids lie just within the rectum and are usually very painful.  If an external haemorrhoid prolapses to the outside (usually while passing a stool), it can be seen and felt.  Fissures and anal discomforts are tears in the lining of the lower rectum that can be the cause for the burning, blood, itch and pain during bowel movements.

People susceptible to getting haemorrhoids and fissures:

• Do not eat enough fruit and vegetables
• Do not have enough fibre in their diet
• Are overweight/obese
• Often have diabetes
• Strain to empty their bowels when constipated
• Are pregnant - as the weight of the foetus on the adomen and the increased blood flow can increase pressure
• Have a famly history of piles - they are potentially hereditary

HemoClin Gel Instructions: 

For anal discomforts:  Apply an ample quantity iof HemoClin in and around the affected area using the applicator at least twice per day for a period of two weeks or whenever relief is desired.  More frequent application of HemoClin increases the effectiveness.

For haemorrhoids and fissures:  Apply HemoClin in and around the rectum before and after each bowel movement.

HemoClin Gel should not be used for longer than 30 continuous days in one treatment period. If symptoms persist after this time please consult your doctor.
