The Tanita BC-601 is the perfect tool for monitoring, to a professional level, the effectiveness of any sports or fitness program over time. It has an adult and child healthy range indicator as well as athlete and guest modes so can be used by almost everybody.

Specially calibrated for people involved in intense aerobic exercise of more than 10 hours per week., with a resting heart rate of no less than 60 beats per minute.

The correlational analysis accuracy of this setting does not extend to professional athletes or bodybuilders, since not enough research data has been collected on professional sportspeople and bodybuilders. The Tanita BC-601 uses Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) to monitor multiple components of overall health by sending low and safe electric signals through the body using an 8 electrode segmental technology for scientifically proven greater accuracy. The results are analysed along with gender, age, height and weight for the most accurate and comprehensive at home reading available.

From tracking body fat and muscle mass trends, to recommending calorie intake and indicating hydration levels the BC-601 innerscan monitor helps you tailor your exercise and dietary requirements helping attain peak physical performance.

This Eight (8) Electrode Body Fat Monitor displays readings for the whole body AND also for each segment: arms, legs and trunk area (including measuring visceral fat/belly fat which is exclusive to Tanita machines) so you can see exactly how your body is responding to specific training sessions over time.

The extra large LCD colour display is easy to read and the retractable cord extends out making it easier for you to read the results while ensuring the handset fits snugly into the main unit for easy storage.

All your body composition data is automatically stored on the SD card (included) and can be downloaded onto your computer in Excel format. Software is preloaded onto the SD card for ease of use. The SD Card slots in to the multi-card port on your PC.
