Flixonase Nasal Spray is for the effective relief of sneezing, itchy and runny nose, nasal congestion and sinus pain caused by hayfever or allergy. Flixonase nasal spray protects from all major airborne allergens including pollens, grasses, dustmites, pet hairs, animal danders and mould spores. Use Flixonase for once a day allergy and hayfever relief.

Flixonase is NOT generic Flonase - it is made by the original manufacturer, GSK. In other words, apart from the trade name, Flixonase and Flonase are identical. Marketed internationally as Flonase by GSK, the same product is available, made by the same company, without prescription here in New Zealand under the brand name, Flixonase hayfever and allergy.

An allergy is a disorder of the immune system where the body over reacts to normally harmless environmental challenges such as pollen, animal fur and dustmites. Mild [as compared to severe allergic reactions such as ananaphylactic shock] allergic conditions such as hayfever may cause unpleasant and inconvenient symptoms such as runny water eyes, runny itchy nose, sneezing and nasal congestion. Allergies are quite common and usually respond well to treatment with products such as Flixonase Nasal Spray.

Flixonase targets and treats hayfever and allergy where it begins - in the nose itself. It is a convenient once-a-day treatment that helps control major symptoms of hayfever and/or year round allergic reactions of the nasal passages.

Used as directed, Flixonase may provide effective allergy relief throughout the day and night as well as helping prevent the onset of symptoms. Flixonase effectively treats perennial allergy and seasonal allergy (hayfever) symptoms including sneezing, nasal congestion, runny and itchy nose and irritated eyes.

Studies show that Flixonase [ Flonase ] works on relieving nasal symptoms within 12 hours after the first dose, and as early as 2 to 4 hours in some patients. Maximum effect of Flonase can be expected around day three of treatment, although significant improvements are often experienced much earlier than this.

Flixonase [ Flonase - fluticasone propionate ] has potent anti-inflammatory activity with no detectable systemic activity. In other words, Flixonase goes to work in the nasal passages and hardly any is absorbed into the body.

Directions: Please read instructions carefully before use. Adults & Children aged 12 years and over: Use TWO sprays in each nostril once a day. For the short term (3-6 months) prevention and treatment of airborne allergies including hayfever.

Presentation: Each pack contains sufficient quantity for 120 sprays - 50mcg per spray.

Precautions: Do NOT use and seek medical advice if you have already been using another steroid nasal spray or product, have an infection in the nasal passages or sinuses, have recently had an injury, surgery or problems with ulceration in your nose. Seek medical advise if you develop symptoms of infection such as fever, nasal or facial pain or swelling on the face; discoloured nasal discharge or bleeding from the nose; acute pain or visual disturbances. Discontinue treatment and seek medical advice if no relief of symptoms after 7 days of treatment.
