Buccaline
Buccaline has been formulated for oral anti-bacterial prophylaxis of complications of colds.
Buccaline Properties: Buccaline is an inactivated whole cell vaccine for oral application. On contact with the bacterial surface antigens contained in Buccaline, the immune system is stimulated to build up immunity.
Note: Buccaline was formerly known as Buccaline Berna and is a Pharmacist Only Medicine.
Buccaline Contra-indications:
- Avoid use of Buccaline if hypersensitive to any ingredient.
- Avoid use of Buccaline when you have a fever due to any cause.
- No studies are available to demonstrate safe use of Buccaline in pregnancy. Seek professional medical advice to weigh possible benefits of Buccaline against risks.
Buccaline Adverse Reactions: In rare cases Buccaline may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea.
Buccaline Dosage for Adults: Day 1: Take ONE Buccaline tablet then on Day 2: Take TWO Buccaline tablets then on Day 3: Take FOUR Buccaline tablets best swallowed whole with some fluid, ideally one hour before breakfast or one hour before the mid-day meal.
Buccaline Dosage for Children: Take ONE Buccaline tablet then on Day 2: Take ONE Buccaline tablet then on Day 3: Take TWO Buccaline tablets best swallowed whole with some fluid, ideally one hour before breakfast or one hour before the mid-day meal.
Each pack contains 7 Buccaline tablets.
Each Buccaline tablet contains the following active ingredients:
- 1000 million Pneumococcus I, II, III.
- 1000 million Streptococcus
- 1000 million Staphylococcus
- 1500 million Haemophilus influenzae
- 25mg Fel Bovis sicc
