Azep Antihistamine Nasal Spray is used to treat hayfever (allergic rhinitis).
Azep Nasal Spray prevents the effects of histamine and other substances in the nose that cause allergic reactions to pollens (i.e. Hayfever) or to other allergens such as cat or dog hair or house dust mite.
Azep Nasal Spray is used to treat allergic rhinitis or as it is more commonly known, hayfever.
Hayfever is an allergy which may affect you at only certain times of the year (for example, allergy to pollen) or all year round (for example, allergy to cat or dog hair or house dust mite). Usually the symptoms of hayfever include a runny nose, sneezing, itchy or blocked nose. Azep Nasal Spray helps relieve the symptoms of hayfever.
Azep Nasal Spray contains NO corticosteroids.
Azep Nasal Spray Ingredients: Azep Nasal Spray contains a solution of the active ingredient, azelastine hydrochloride 0.1%. Other ingredients are methyl hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium edetate, citric acid, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate and water.
Azep Nasal Spray Presentation: Each pack of Azep Nasal Spray contains 10ml of solution containing azelastine hydrochloride 0.1% in a glass bottle with plastic spray attachment and cap. Each spray contains a dose of 0.14mg azelastine hydrochloride.
Azep Nasal Spray Precautions: Do not use Azep Nasal Spray if you have ever had an allergic reaction to the active ingredient, azelastine hydrochloride. Do not use Azep Nasal Spray if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised to by your doctor. Azep Nasal Spray may, like many other medicines have side effects. These are not usually serious. For a few people the inside of their nose is irritated by Azep causing some discomfort or sneezing. Usually this does not last long. Some people notice a bitter taste in the mouth after using Azep Nasal Spray. Drinking a flavoured drink a few minutes after using Azep Nasal Spray usually makes this go away.
Azep Nasal Spray Dosage: Adults and children five years of age and over may use ONE spray of Azep Nasal Spray twice a day for the prevention of allergic rhinitis and hayfever.
