Eldoquin Cream 2% - Skin Bleaching Cream

Eldoquin Skin Bleaching Cream slows down the production of melanin pigment in the skin!

Eldoquin Cream contains Hydroquinone.

Hydroquinone works by slowing down the production of melanin pigment in the skin. As less and less melanin is produced the darkened skin gradually fades to match normal skin.

Eldoquin Indications:

Eldoquin is for the gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma (a patchy brown or dark brown skin discolouration that usually occurs on a woman's face and may result from hormonal changes, as in pregnancy), melasma (a tan discolouration of a woman's face that is associated with pregnancy or with the use of oral contraceptives), freckles, senile lentigines (a small, flat, pigmented spot on the skin better known as age spots) and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.

Eldoquin Dosage and Administration:

Apply a thin film of Eldoquin Cream TWICE daily to the area in need of bleaching or as directed by physician. Eldoquin Cream should be rubbed into the skin well. Make-up can be applied after the treated area has dried. Eldoquin Cream is best applied indoors or at night time.

Most discolorations begin to lighten after four weeks of treatment with Eldoquin Cream but it may take longer. After desired bleaching, use Eldoquin Cream only as needed to maintain results. After clearing and during maintenance therapy with Eldoquin, sun exposure should be avoided on bleached skin by application of a sunscreen or by wearing protective clothing to prevent darkening from recurring.

Eldoquin Contraindications:

Prior history of sensitivity or allergic reaction to Eldoquin Cream or any of the ingredients.

The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established.

Eldoquin Cream Warnings and Precautions:

Test for skin sensitivity to Eldoquin Cream before using by applying a small amount of Eldoquin to an unbroken patch of skin. If no redness or itching occurs within 24 hours, begin treatment with Eldoquin Cream.
If no bleaching effect is noted after three months of Eldoquin treatment, use of all hydroquinone products should be discontinued.
Lightening effect of hydroquinone may not be noticeable when used on very dark skin.
Eldoquin Cream has been formulated for use as a skin bleaching agent and should not be used for the prevention of sunburn.

Eldoquin Cream Warning:

Eldoquin contains sodium metabisulphite, a sulphite that may cause serious allergic type reactions (e.g. hives, itching, wheezing, anaphylaxis, severe asthma attacks) in certain susceptible persons.

Eldoquin Adverse Effects:

No systemic adverse reactions have been reported to Eldoquin Cream. Occasional hypersensitivity (localized contact dermatitis) may occur, in which case treatment with Eldoquin Cream should be discontinued and the physician notified immediately.

There are no known interactions between Eldoquin Cream and any other medication.

Overdosage:

There are no reports of overdosage using topical hydroquinone preparations such as Eldoquin Cream.

Adults ingesting 300-500 mg of hydroquinone daily for 3-5 months have reported no toxic adverse effects. However, single oral doses of 5 to 12 grams of hydroquinone have produced symptoms similar to those following phenol overdosage, including tremors, seizures and occasionally, severe hemolytic anemia.

Eldoquin Cream is designed for topical application only - Do Not Ingest Eldoquin Cream!

Systemic overdosage of hydroquinone, like phenol, should be treated with measures intended to reduce absorption of the drug, including administration of activated charcoal and gastric lavage, and supportive therapy.
