Nicorette Microtab is a small tablet that dissolves under the tongue and helps relieve nicotine cravings and smoking withdrawal symptoms.
Suiting those that would rather not wear a nicotine patch all day or conspicuously chew gum, Nicorette Microtab allows you to discretely use a convenient form of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). The microtab makes use of the rich blood supply found under the tongue and the nicotine in the tablet quickly passes into the blood stream to relieve the craving for a cigarette. Breaking a smoking habit is much easier with NRT than relying on willpower alone.
Quitting smoking requires that you stop buying or accepting cigarettes from others. You no longer join the smoking group outside on the pavement at break times. You don't light up with coffee, beer, wine or at other relaxing social occasions. Yet, you don't stop living – you still have time to relax with friends and you still have all the experiences that trigger the desire for a cigarette. It's these times that you can use a Nicorette Microtab to help alleviate the cigarette craving as you go on to enjoy your time in the way that suits you.
Most smokers over the age of 18 may use Nicorette Microtab. However there are precautions so please check the package insert before use. Allow 1 microtab to dissolve slowly under the tongue (heavy smokers may use 2 tabs) when you feel craving. It is best not to suck, chew or swallow the tablet as best results are experienced when allowed to dissolve sublingually.
Nicorette Microtabs contain no lactose, saccharin, aspartame, gluten or sucrose. There are 100 tablets per pack. It is recommended that you use them for around 12 weeks and slowly wean yourself off them as the triggers that set off the desire to smoke get weaker. Use for longer than six months is not recommended.

Habitrol Nicotine Gum makes it easier to quit smoking by helping reduce the craving for cigarettes.
With cigarette smoking clearly recognised as a serious health risk and with regulations and laws against smoking in cars, offices and public places becoming ever more restrictive it is not as much fun to be a smoker as it used to be. But giving it up can be really hard. With cigarettes being manufactured with higher concentrations of nicotine many smokers have acknowledged tobacco smoking as being harder to quit than the notorious drugs, cocaine and heroin.
Hypnotherapy seems to help a number of smokers give up. One of our customers dropped her cigarette use from over 20 per day down to 4 after only two sessions with a hypnotherapist. Alan Carr's program seems to be similarly successful if not more so. Some give up smoking cold turkey, a method requiring sheer determination, will power and clarity of purpose. However medically proven nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) makes it easier to quit smoking than cold turkey methods.
Available in several forms the most popular variations of NRT continue to be nicotine patches and gum. Habitrol nicotine patches release nicotine at a steady rate over a 24 hour period while Habitrol Gum is used when there is a craving for a cigarette. The aim of NRT is to stop smoking and substitute tobacco for a nicotine patch or a gum. The toxic chemicals found in tobacco smoke are no longer being inhaled but the nicotine addiction remains. It's certainly a positive step in the right direction and further patience is required.
There are a lot of triggers that cause a cigarette to be lit. The time elapsed since the last one, certain times of the day such as morning or afternoon tea times and many smokers will tell you that coffee goes well with a cigarette. Or a beer or a wine for that matter. The triggers will still give impulse to the smoker but NRT will help alleviate the craving and weaken the impulse. Given time these impulses get weaker and have less hold over the ex-smoker. As these triggers become weaker the smoker may slowly wean off the NRT therapy. Usually a three month period is considered the most effective although some may take longer. Sadly some smokers relapse and take up cigarettes again but many succeed on second or even third attempts once they become clear about their resolve. In all cases NRT is still helpful.
